During the November 2007 election, I recommend a "Yes" vote on all ballot measures which will appear on Benton County ballots.

Measure 49 is an important measure to protect the future of Oregon's farms, forests and landscapes. This is a fair and workable fix to Measure 37, which will protect property rights for indivduals while preserving what's best about Oregon. For more information, please visit the Yes on 49 website.

Measure 50 will expand health coverage to over 100,000 Oregon kids by an increase in the tobacco tax. This important measure will also help adults quit smoking, and prevent thousands of children alive today from ever becoming smokers.

Finally, the Benton County Heatlh and Safety Levy is critical to maintaining the county services we count on here in our community. This levy will support county health programs, our Sheriff's Office, and our district attorneys office. This levy is sorely needed, and long overdue. Please join me in voting Yes on 02-64.
